10 Marshals and TJ Maxx Buys In Stylist Erin Walsh’s Cart

Erin Walsh’s client portfolio resembles what I predict next year’s Golden Globes guest list will look like: Selena Gomez, Alison Brie, Mindy Kaling, and, of course, Anne Hathaway, who Walsh dressed for both The Odyssey and The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tours. (I’m still thinking about Hathaway in custom Prada at The Odyssey‘s NYC premiere—props to Walsh for acing method dressing.) But it’s not just Walsh’s proximity to coveted designers and tastemakers; it’s also her high standards and talent for trend forecasting that make her a vanguard in the field. And with fall just around the corner, I’m intrigued to see what Walsh is eyeing (spoiler: “a good quality cashmere sweater” will do wonders according to Walsh).

In addition to her A-list roster, Walsh is also a published author. Earlier this year, she released The Art of Intentional Dressing, which invites readers to undergo a self-discovery through style experimentation. Adding to her multi-hyphenate title, Walsh has taken on the role of Marshalls’ and TJ Maxx’s Fashion Style Expert.

Having followed Walsh’s work for years and being a Maxxinista myself, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to ask the celebrity stylist what is in her Marshallsand TJ Maxx cart. And just like the rest of us, Walsh has shifted her focus from summer style to fall fashion. Meaning suede, leather, and cashmere are the new priorities.
