Vance previewed the midterm message that Republicans are expected to try to campaign on in Congressional races next year in Georgia.
President Donald Trump’s sweeping new law that was dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill” was referred to by Vance throughout his remarks as the “working families tax cut.”
The vice president also said he was proud on Wednesday to have gone to Union Station in Washington with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to visit National Guard troops that Trump has deployed in the U.S. capital as part of a law enforcement crackdown.

“We’ve got to take America’s streets back for the American people,” Vance said.
The vice president was asked if the administration expected to deploy troops in Atlanta too, and Vance didn’t directly answer but said the administration has focused on Washington.
“We hope the people see what we’re doing in Washington, D.C., and follow our example all across the country,” he said.
Vance also did not answer a reporter’s question on what was happening to homeless encampments that had been removed from areas around D.C.
