Bundesliga: BBC Sport secure rights to show German top-flight matches

Borussia Dortmund have only lost to league leaders Bayern Munich this season on matchday seven. In fact, Dortmund have only lost three times all season, against Manchester City in the Champions League and Eintracht Frankfurt in the round of 16 in the DFB-Pokal

BVB also have one of the best defensive records in the league. In their first 14 matches, they’ve conceded only 12 goals, with six of them coming across two 3-3 thrillers against St Pauli and Stuttgart. They have also kept seven clean sheets so far this season.

Borussia Monchengladbach have managed to get their season back on track after a poor start that saw them pick up only three points from their opening eight fixtures. A five-match unbeaten run picking up 13 points saw them move up the league before losing 3-1 last time out to Wolfsburg.

The Foals are now looking to get back on track with a win in Dortmund, but know history isn’t on their side. They have only won 37 of their encounters with Dortmund, and the home side haven’t lost to Gladbach in Dortmund since a 2-1 defeat in 2014.

These two sides have met 134 times in all competitions. Gladbach have never played an opposition more than Dortmund and BVB have never earned more points against any other side.
