Germany winger Leroy Sane has joined Turkish club Galatasaray on a free transfer after leaving Bayern Munich.
The 29-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Turkish champions, with the club announcing he will earn a guaranteed £7.66m a year, external plus a loyalty bonus.
More than one million supporters tuned into a live broadcast on Galatasaray’s YouTube channel on Tuesday of a flight tracker, showing Sane’s plane arriving in Istanbul.
Sane joined Bayern Munich on a five-year deal from Manchester City in 2020 and has won six league titles in his career.
Galatasaray won the league title this season, beating Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce by 11 points.
