Love is Blind Minneapolis: 8 cast updates

It’s been five months since Netflix concluded “Love is Blind” season eight, which featured singles from the Twin Cities.

While some may have been ready to move on, the reality show lives on through its cast — real people who continue to exist.

MPR News has been providing the scoop since rumors first surfaced of “Love is Blind” production in Minneapolis.

With cast member Madison Errichiello now on another Netflix reality show, "Perfect Match,” which started its latest season Aug. 1, our reporting team was prompted to provide another update.

  1. Madison Errichiello did not find her match on “Love is Blind” so she’s on "Perfect Match,” which brings together people from other reality shows… and she’s struggling, in part because not everyone knows where Minnesota is.

Errichiello explained its location to one English model and he responded “You’re Canadian?”

  2. Amanda Burke – who audiences did not get to see on-screen – is dating celebrity chef Yia Vang of Vinai and Union Hmong Kitchen. He posted Burke on his Instagram story as early as March 10 and has since tagged her in several other posts.

The couple confirmed their relationship to MPR News but declined to comment further. Scroll to the last photo in his post below to see them together.

  3. Virginia Miller is freezing her eggs. She’s partnered with a fertility clinic in Minneapolis and is sharing about her journey in a series of social media posts. Miller, who was 34 at the time “Love is Blind” season eight was airing, said one of the main reasons she joined the show was to become a mother and start a family. “I’m really excited that KindBody is stepping in and giving me some of that time back. The opportunity to take my time and find the right person,” she said.

  4. This week, Miller's former beau Devin Buckley announced his own investment in the future: he’s going to Turkey for a hair transplant. In an Instagram video, he shared he had been worried about going on “Love is Blind” and possibly being rejected by women for his hair, which he feels is thinning, receding and balding at the crown.

“It’s just something that I’ve been insecure about for a while now and it’s like hindered my confidence a lot,” he said.

Buckley said since the show has aired, many people on social media have mocked his hair. He will document his hair journey online.

  5. Sara Carton and Joey Leveille are dating. They made the news official with a social media post in mid-July.

Both got engaged to other people on “Love is Blind” and their respective exes are doing just fine, it seems. After the couple’s announcement, Carton’s ex Ben Mezzenga posted a video lip syncing to Taylor Swift’s “I Forgot That You Existed.” He and Leveille’s ex Monica Danús have shared a light-hearted, viral video and photo shoot, sparking questions among fans about their connection.

  6. Meg Fink and Mason Horacek, who said they were just friends on the “Love is Blind” one-year reunion earlier this year, are also now officially dating. They promoted a cute day trip together to Northfield in one recent video.

  7. Daniel Hastings and Taylor Hastings (formerly Haag), who married on “Love is Blind,” got married again this May in Chaska in what People Magazine called “a massive vow renewal with 400 guests.” Many of their season eight castmates were in attendance.

  8. The “Love is Blind” friendships are still going strong. People on the show told MPR News those platonic relationships were what made being on the reality show feel highly worth participating in. Online, at least, they continue to show support for each other.
