Two shootings in Fargo leave two dead, two injured


Two people died in separate shootings in Fargo, N.D., early Sunday morning.

Fargo police say the shootings occurred just before 2 a.m. and at about 2:30 a.m.

The first shooting happened in downtown Fargo on the 50 block of South Broadway Street. In addition to the fatality, police say two other people were shot and injured. One person is in critical condition at a local hospital and the other sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The second shooting occurred in the 4700 block of 16th Avenue South. In that shooting, one person was shot and killed.

The shootings are under investigation.

At this time, it is unknown whether the two shootings are related. Detectives are actively working to determine any possible connection. There is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.
